Bifrost comes from Viking Norse mythology and was a burning rainbow bridge that reaches between Midgard (Earth) and Asgard, the home of the viking gods. The rainbow like bridge ends at the residence of the god Heimdall, who guards Asgard.

It has been disputed if Bifrost is our nordic light (aurora) up here in Scandinavia, or a regular rainbow. whatever it is, both are truly a beautiful sight.
